Philippe Sainte Fauste / Money is money

Bio

Born in France and living in Paris, Philippe Sainte Fauste is an urban artist with a very original approach.

He uses the art of contrast by taking up the icons of art or history with an Urban Pop style.

He appropriates the images and reinterprets them so that the past enters the present.

"They constantly remind us of our history, our famous men and women, but also great works of art,... which have marked their time and remain present in the collective memory".

He stages in an Urban Pop context where gestures and words take on all their importance. He translates creative participation by mixing graphics and writing styles as if several people had intervened on the work by bringing their imprint.

In his paintings he translates the universe of his icons with the following idea: "Our icons continue to grow old with us".

These icons have a story and an image whatever we do.

They remain present in our lives and in our daily lives.

How do they still interact today on our analysis, our thinking, our values, our behavior? How they live with us today. What they might think about our society, our customs, our actions… and how we integrate them into our daily life.

Sainte Fauste participates in numerous exhibitions and events both in France and abroad: Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Great Britain, United States, South Korea, China, Hong Kong.

Today the works of Sainte Fauste can be found in numerous private collections.
