Tos Kostermans

Tos Kostermans

Tos Kostermans was born in 1958 in Haarlem. At the age of thirteen he already took painting lessons with the Haarlem artist Albert Loots. Here he learned the techniques that he could use for his creativity. After many wanderings through the United States and Spain, he now lives in Zandvoort, where he still finds daily inspiration for every Tos Kosterman's painting. But you also see the travels and discovered cultures in the Tos Kostermans paintings.

The style of Tos Kostermans is realistic on the one hand, and impressionistic on the other. This special combination ensures that every painting attracts attention. This also applies to his unique color palette and the feminine beauty that he portrays with great love. In addition, there is always room for humor in Tos Kosterman's paintings, by placing contemporary matters in a completely different context. In addition to fully painted artworks, Tos increasingly uses mixed media to express his creativity.

A Tos Kostermans painting is a daring painting in which you discover many details. Strong, beautiful women look straight at you and draw you into the painting. This is due to the intriguing way in which Tos Kostermans paints his subjects. It's unique, challenging and sometimes a bit provocative, but you keep looking. The colors used, an eye for detail and the refined brushstrokes bring the scene to life. And that is why Tos Kosterman's paintings are so loved in the world.
