TOMAS was born in Asti in 1970; he attended the Art Institute and the Academy of Fine Arts in Macerata.
He lives and paints in San Ginesio, in the province of Macerata.
TOMAS is a visual artist distinguished by a long career, many works and various participations.
His painting is imagination. He evokes environments that could be part of a dream. He uses symbols, allusions, dream figures. He sometimes he escapes reality and transports himself to a different world. A world that could be an ancestral past or a near future. He interprets humanity's heritage through unseen metaphors and elevates humanity to divinity. He is a type of visionary who uses brushes and canvases to build new universes to represent and communicate something in his paintings. A sort of thing that extends to the future bringing myths and allegories, and reinterpreting them in a post-contemporary key.

TOMAS has invented his own unique technique - PAINTOLLAGE - which puts together painting and collage to create truly unique artworks.
