Pitmarels

Pitmarels

Pitmarels (Cantù, Italy, born in 1996) is one of the most promising Italian contemporary artists.

Graduated with full marks from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, he pioneered a new technique, called Sticking Detach.

Through the use of stickers as the main medium of his production, his works highlight two key concepts of his research: false appearance and loss of identity.
Pitmarels creates images that place the concept of false appearance at the center of his work, that presents also an extremely singular distinctive sign, composed of stickers inspired by the worldwide known Chiquita one. Pitmarel’s artworks reflect an ironic vision of the society we live in; however, the works hide a message that goes beyond what it might seem, precisely because they arise from the idea of the so-called false appearance.

Starting from an overall vision, where the subjects are shown in their entirety, we arrive at a narrower vision where all the details that compose them emerge.
