Jacopo Valentini (1990) lives between Modena and Milan. In 2011 he enrolled at the Mendrisio Academy of Architecture, during these years of studies he carried out an internship at the Pezo Von Ellrichshausen art and architecture workshop. In 2014 of the same year he obtained a Bachelor in Science of Architecture at the Mendrisio Academy of Architecture, it is during this period that he understands the importance of the photographic apparatus. In 2015 he was selected to participate in the Foto Factory Modena project (SkyArteHD and Fondazione Fotografia Modena). In 2016 he attended the Master in Photography at the IUAV in Venice under the supervision of Angela Vettese and Stefano Graziani. In 2017 he obtained both degrees from the two universities: IUAV in Venice and the Mendrisio Academy of Architecture. In the same year he won the 101st Collective Young Artists at the Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation. In 2019 he was selected for Young Italian Photography # 07, within the official European Photography circuit in Reggio Emilia. Valentini exhibits in institutions and private spaces both in Italy and abroad: Triennale di Milano, San Fedele Cultural Center-Milan, Fattori-Livorno Museum, RIBA-London, Fabbri-Treviso Foundation, Campo-Rome, Bevilacqua La Masa-Venice Foundation, Polytechnic of Milan, Navile-Bologna Museum. He collaborates with the Italian artist Stefano Graziani for whom he also plays the role of assistant to the ISIA in Urbino. He is working on a research project on territorial displacement.
